Safeguarding Children with Disabilities (half-day workshop)
This half-day workshop delivered by Safeguarding Trainer and Consultant Rahana Hussain is an important area of learning within the wider context of safeguarding children and is for multi-agency practitioners who require development in their knowledge of safeguarding disabled children and young people.
Learning Outcomes
• To develop knowledge about the ways in which disabled children and young people can be at risk of significant harm;
• To gain an insight into the ways in which parents and carers of disabled children can be supported by examining stressors which can impact on parenting;
• To explore the thresholds and levels of expected care;
• To increase confidence in working with disabled children and their families (tools).
Please note this workshop will be delivered online via Zoom, unless the Covid-19 situation improves and we are able to revert back to face to face training.
